SM-3

O SM-3 mede continuamente mercúrio elementar, ligado e iônico em gases de combustão.

O princípio de funcionamento do SM-3 baseia-se numa técnica completamente nova: o craqueamento dos compostos de mercúrio e a redução do mercúrio iónico contido nos gases de escape são realizados termocataliticamente.

O tratamento químico úmido do gás de amostra com reagentes e borbulhadores é evitado. Portanto, a manutenção e reparo do SM-3 são extremamente simples.
